Camerata Orchestra

Camerata Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Michail Gelfandbein, is an intermediate orchestra for students with three or more years of private lessons. There are weekly sectionals and full orchestra for all instruments.

Conductor Gelfandbein is assisted at each rehearsal by wind coach Debra Gardner.

Camerata musicians learn complex musical ideas and techniques, accompany several student soloists, and are in-training for Galbraith Honor Strings or the El Camino Wind Orchestra.

The Camerata season runs September through May, and the musicians perform in three concerts during the year.

Recent concerts include performances at the Menlo-Atherton Center for the Performing Arts and the Albert and Janet Schultz Cultural Arts Hall of Palo Alto.

Camerata Orchestra musicians are eligible to enroll in ECYS Summer Workshops II or III.
