**** is a senior at Gunn High School and has been playing in the senior symphony for 4 years. At school, she plays in the Gunn Wind Ensemble and has played in various state and county honor bands. Besides studying clarinet, ** has studied piano since she was 6. She is also co-president of the French Club at school and a member of the Interact Club. ** enjoys working with children at a computer learning center and as a soccer coach. Next year, she plans to attend UCLA to study biology but hopes to continue her musical studies.

**** has been a member of ECYS since moving to the U.S. from Taiwan at the age of 11.  He became a member of the Senior Symphony two years ago after participating in Camerata and YAO.  ** began playing violin at the age of 11 and is currently studying under Jenny Rudin.  In addition to music, ** is also an active member of both the Robotics Team and the Science Olympiad Club at Palo Alto High School.  Having a great interest in engineering, he came in second at the SVC Science and Engineering Fair.  Besides academics, ** enjoys hiking, playing basketball and reading.  After graduation, ** plans on majoring in electrical engineering at UCSD.

**** (Oboe, English Horn) has been a member of ECYS for 7 years, beginning in Camerata, then playing in YAO and Sinfonietta. She has been a member of the Senior Orchestra for three years. At Castilleja School, ** has been coeditor of both the weekly and the monthly student newspapers. She earned her high school’s Journalism and Latin Awards as well as the Williams College Book Award, and is a Merit Finalist and a member of the Cum Laude Society. She has been member of the Palo Alto Youth Council for two years. ** plans to continue to play her oboe and pursue her interest in journalism while continuing her studies at Yale. She thanks her oboe teacher for her guidance and inspiration.
